Too Sunny California
I went out for my lunch today like I always do. As soon as i step out from the office, I felt the burn in my skin. The sun is freaking too much! I think this is too much for being summer in California. I know that Philppines is way too much because you also have to deal with humidity, but here is a direct heat. It burns like a laser and it feels like it'll burn your body down like a candle. This is too much for me. I dont wanna go back to my baby with a dark skin, no way! curse you SUN!!!

The Funky Brown Napkin


Yes! Finally! I got the napkin that I ordered from ebay! I spent $34.99 for 250 pieces for this brown napkin. Yes! this is actually brown and not black. I am using camphone that's why the picture looks cheap. Finally, I did something for our wedding hahaha. Thanks to Party Favors Plus store for the lovely design. I love the gold lettering!
By the way, our motiff will be Brown and Orange.

PS3 OEM WiFi Installation and Hard Drive Upgrade
I was so frustrated for not having an internal wifi in my cheap 20 GB PlayStation 3. Without that thing, I can't play online games, I can't sign-up for PlayStation Network and I can't get the updates that needed for my console. So, I need to buy and run a LAN wire on the wall from the router to my console. And that's not good 'coz I am such a lazy ass to do something like that. But I do not have any other way but to do it, so I decided to set up the LAN wire and use it for temporary connection.
I tried to look at google search if there's anyone out there has find any solution for this thing. But no one had ever try to modified their PS3. Even the USB wifi dongle will not going to work. A wireless bridge can work, but it's too expensive and I dont want another bulky unit attached to my (already) big and heavy game console. I kept thinking about this problem everyday (as in seriously). One day, I'd thought about installing an OEM wifi chip inside my PS3. It means I have to open the unit and it also means I'll void the warranty once I do this project. But I guess I am stupid, so I decided to do it anyway. But of course, not without being careful and doing a research first.
I found another mod that you can do for your PS3 and that is the hard drive upgrade. I never thought that the hard drive upgrade of PS3 is one hell easy work to do. And here's my own version on how to upgrade the hard drive your PS3 and the main idea of this article: "Installing OEM Wifi to your PS3":






Here are the things that we need before we start this project:


1.) PlayStation 3




2.) Tools (small type of Screw drivers and a size 10 T-6 Screw driver)




3.) 1 or 2 GB USB flash drive for back up of game saves and other files.




4.) 100 GB 2.5-inch 5400 rmp serial ATA model commonly found in notebooks.
You can also get 200, 160, 120 GB with 7200 rpm for faster performance and bigger file capacity.



5.) WiFi/Bluthooth chip from 60 GB PlayStation 3



6.) WiFi wire from 60 GB PlayStation 3





PS3 Hard-Drive Upgrade



Let's do the Hard-drive upgrade first. First, save all the games save and files into your USB flash Drive. By the way, by doing this mod alone will not going to void your warranty. It is because you don't need to dissasemble the whole unit to pull the hard drive off. There is an easy access door on the side of PS3 ( Let's thanks Sony for making this thing so easy).


You'll see a tiny space on the side of this door. This is where you can use your flat head screw to open this door.


Once you've opened it, you'll see a shiny metal plate and that will be the hard-drive cover plate. Unscrew the blue screw with your philip screw driver and turn it counter clockwise(lol).

Always remember that every little pieces of this unit is important! Do not misplace the blue screw!
Anyway, when you've finally unscrew it... there is handle right on the plate that looks like a paper clip. You can hold on to it to pull out the Hard Drive. To pull the Hard Drive out, you must slide metal plate to the right first. By then you can feel that the HD was already loosed. Now you can pull it out from the unit.


As I've said above, there is still a metal plate cover on the HD. You'll need to unscrew the four screws on each side of this plate to free the HD from it. Once you're finished, get your precious meaty 100 GB SATA Hard Drive and remove the unnecessary parts that you dont need (like the rubber moldings) and mount it to the metal plate. Put all the 4 screws back and the rest are opposite of this process.

When you turned your unit on, the PS3 automatically detcet the new HD and asks that the new drive need to be formatted. Click YES and after the process you'll se the result.

'Sad to say that my 100 GB is not really a 100 GB :-(






PS3 OEM WiFi Installation


Installing a WiFi is not an easy thing to do. First, you must void the warranty seal for you to open the unit. Second, you have to have a technical ability. Third, you need to do a research. Lastly, you need to find the right parts that you need for this project.

Anyway, let's do this. On the other side of your PS3 is the access to open the whole unit.
Ok, can you see where I am pointing my finger at? That's the evil warranty seal. At this point you can still decide if you want to back out.... or if you dont really mind about voiding the warranty seal (like me), well then... let's go!


First, you must peel off the warranty seal from the unit.




After that, pull the rubber out and youll see a screw inside. Unscrew that thing with your size 10 T-6 screw driver.




Lay down your PS3 on the floor or any flat surface. Slide the the cover towards you and pull it up.

We can now see the second layer cover of the unit.

See the encircled portions below? Those are screws. Unscrew those with philip head screw driver and pull the cover - left portion first (pull it like a door) to your right.

Finally we've opened the unit. Once you see the whole package, you'll immidiately noticed the part that you need to replace. See the encircled portion on the picture below (green), that's the bluetooth chip. Free the chip by unscrewing it from the unit using philip head screw driver. The chip can be free from ribbon wire by simply lifting the black portion . WARNING: From this point you have to be extra careful. You dont dont wanna lift this black clip real hard, because this is the one that holding the ribbon that makes this bluetooth chip working. If you break it, then youre done! Treath this like a little door. It swings back and forth.
Here's a closer look.

So have you pulled out the bluetooth chip? Here's the closer look of 20GB Bluetooth Chip and 60GB Bluetooth Chip W/ WIFi. See the difference?

Do you see that little gold plated round shaped tiny thing right there? That's where the WiFi wire should go.

Now let's mount the replacement Bluetooth Chip with Wifi to the unit. Put everything back like the opposite of what we did before.
Try to look at the end of the Wifi wire, there is a black circle thing with a tiny hole. The gold plated tiny circle on the Bluetooth chip and that black circle thing on the wifi wire are link together. Snap that into the gold plated tiny circle.

Once you're done with mounting everything, run the Wifi wire in between the power supply and the disc drive toward to the back .
Look at the picture:

On the back portion of the unit near the blu-ray disc drive, you'll see a screw (see photo above). Unscrew that and mount the other end of the wifi wire. Keep it straight and neat.

There you go. We're done! Now keep everything back together and turn your PS3 on. The controllers will not going to work because we replaced the bluetooth chip. What you'll need to do is use the USB to your controller. Reset your console into factory setting. After the process, free the controller from USB and hold the PS button for about 10 secs. If still didnt work, hold the power button of your PS3 for about 5 secs until you hear the beep sound. The PS3 will reset. Then, do the same thing again, hold the PS button on the controller for 10 secs. , your controller BT should be working now.

Now, set-up the necessary things you want for your PS3 to operate, like the video setting, audio etc...
Download the latest firmware of PS3. This should update the system and detect the new hardware (WiFi) that we added in your PS3. Once you do this, the option on the internet connection settings will be updated. The Wireless will now be selected as an option for internet on the menu.

But if you have the latest firmware already, then you have to wait for a while. The 2.0 Firmware is coming.

Something Different
Last weekend, I was in good mood. I did all the things that needed some work that I always been lazy'd to do when I was in my old casa alone. I guess my depression of living alone really made me like that, lazy. But with my cousins around, they somehow makes me going. I play games with them, instead of playing online games alone. The fact that there is no internet connection in my Unlce Ruben's house, I'm still ok with that. I am always depending on internet when I'm home and doing nothing. I bought my plane ticket already for October to Philippines, that's why my depression's replaced by excitement. There are few things that i need to gather just before I fly back to my home country. The important papers for my wedding and hey today, i got the customized napkin that we wanted for our wedding. It was gorgeous brown napkin with gold letterings on it. I just hope i can fix everything that i still need this week. I'm crossing my fingers that Thet can send the certificate of catholic birth to me so i can get the freedom to marry from the parish church here.

An 80's Classic
When i was a little kid, as i remember that was during my 3rd grade in elementary school, my uncle Totoy always listening to Andrew E.'s 1st album (yuck). That was the time of "Humanap ka ng Panget" and the contraversial "Binibirocha". The songs are very catchy and groovy and i would say that I like every single songs on his album. Even now that I'm a grown up man and realized that listening to Andrew E. songs was a very stupid corniest thing i ever did during that time. I'll still yes to it though. Its like a bad childhood expirience and shameful story to tell, like "hey dude, I used to be a big fan of Andrew E." lmao. Anyway, when I found this song in Imeem.com. My Game Picks
If I can only buy all of the latest gaming consoles, i would. But i dont have a fortune to buy all of them. Imagine the prices and availability, its freaking hard to get even one! A PlayStation 3 will cost you $500 - $600 depending on how much hard drive do you want. Microsoft Xbox 360/ Elite can cost you $375 - $475, depending also to hard drive. Lastly, Nintendo Wii for $250. Right now, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are the only High Definition gaming available today but I heard that Nintendo Wii will be modified soon. I guess ill just going to put all of these to my wishlist for now. And keep dreaming to have them until the price get lowered.

A Wannabe Artist
I can compose a tagalog rhyme with in a minute. Heck, I can compose a full song lyrics in 5 minutes! But its freaking hard to make a music out of it! Should I try to be a rapper instead? all i need is a funky beat of drums and some melodic shit. But I like rock alternative music or kinda "The Postal Service" band sound. After all, making our own music isnt that hard anymore. Thanks to computer softwares. We can now be an indipendent music artist and produce our own music!


I just had an idea when i was doing my thing in the bathroom today. But when i came out, all ideas has suddenly disappeared. I'm wondering... maybe I should stay inside the bathroom the whole day to come up with more music.

iphone or ipwong?
I was asked by my baby if I am planning to buy an Iphone because she knows that I am a guy who's always into hightech gadget. Well, I do of course like an Iphone! look at how sexy the way it looks... the design... the brand name and sure everybody love it... but when i tried to googled it... I got dissapointed!
Let me tell you guys that this gadget isn't a 3g. Why the hell apple made a cellphone for 2007 without a 3g for $600??? We're not living in stone age anymore! and there is no way i am going to slap out that kind of money for that crappy tech shit. I dont really know why people still go crazy about this. BUT if you guys really want to get one, then consider these chinese Iphone clones, i call these Ipwongs:Left: CECT's P168 $150 - $250, Closest one but no Wifi

There is something about Thet - My Version.
8 years ago, i was a very naughty-palikero-babaero kid. I love all the beautiful girls. I adore them, I worship them (not literally) and I love to make them as my girlfriends. Two or three girlfriends at the same time is'nt ordinary to me. It is funny how fucked up love life that i had during those time. Masarap maging binata lalo na kapag lahat ng luho na sayo na para magamit sa pambabae. There is nothing can replace my expiriences when it comes to love. It was totally mixed up, fucked-up, super gulo talaga! Its always amazed me when i remember the good old years of my past.

Along came Thet... I never knew that she'll change evrything in me. I was a big flirt when i met her in a cyber chatroom. I thought that she's just another girl. But i was wrong. I dont really know what happen since the day that I've met her in person and that was in Mega Mall in Manila. It was my first vacation in the Philippines since I migrated in the states. The feeling was ordinary, i can't really feel the difference among my ex-girls and Thet(lol). But again, i was wrong.

After the first meeting, i went home with my bestfriend Von. Thanks to Von by the way, for being my driver. After that, we started dating, consuming the days that I still have before I fly back to the states and the feelings started to grow. I introduced her to my parents, she did the same to me. People say that once a guy introduced his girlfriend to his parents, it means the feelings that he have is true and sincere. "Well baby, I really do like you and during that time I started to feel that something is going to happen".

The day came too fast. Before we knew it, we we're in the airport exchanging our final goodbye to each other. She cried to me... and i can tell that she's extremeley sad and afraid that I may not be coming back again. It knocked me up really hard.

Eversince that day, there is no moment that she's not on my mind. I go home every year just to see her and make ourselves happy. We grew up together with distance. We also thought that our distance and differences will be a big problem, but it actually made us even tough.

...And to answer the title of this blog: There is something about Thet that made me change me, and that was being understanding, cool partner, and let's say she's a little bit bossy to me. Im not saying that I'm like an underdog, but scare enough to do bad things that will break her heart. I love her so much that i could'nt afford to play around even we're thousand miles apart. That's how she changed me.

Adios to My Casa
I woke up early today to finally gather all the remaining stuffs that i still have in my room. I fixed up the bed and put back the old bed sheet that I've used during the first day I live there. I also vacuum'd the carpet just to keep it neat, so that if my landlord will see it, they'll give me a nice impression like "oh boy this kid is very nice tenant, sure you can comeback and live here again whenever you want!".

My Landords George and Liza told me yesterday that I'm such a good tenant and congratulated me for my upcoming wedding in the Philippines. I like them, but sometimes they irritates me and they're very annoying when they sometimes visit the house 4x a day! oh man! I just wanna lock up my room when there doing that! and hello? bakit naman di pwede mag-carwash sa driveway? eh bahay naman yun! So many policy in that house, but ofcourse I follow all of them.

I don't have good memories on that house. It's just a plain and boring place. But atleast I felt my very first freedom there.

Moved out
I came late to work today (as always). I didnt have much sleep from last night because of things that i need pack for moving. As usual, my routine... I go to work...work work work and go to lunch. But today was a little different. There is a nearest canteen-like around the office complex. so I always go there to buy my lunch. But before that, I went to Post Office to mail the cellphone that my ebay auction winner paid for like about 3 days ago. After that, i went straight to Gorge's Cafe (the canteen like that im talking about). The Todays Special are out because i came past lunch time because I didnt have a chance to get out from the office on time. So I ordered Chicken Salad Sandwich in a white toast. While waiting for my order, i called Francis to ask a favor. I asked him if i could drop off my boxed stuff in his house and keep it for a little while, then I'll pick it up on friday. He agreed and sabi ko sa srili ko : "Hayyyy... nabunutan ako ng tinik". Now I dont need to go to my Uncle's house again. Bukas na lang ulit kasi I am very tired. My body 's very sore from lifting boxes. The only stuffs that i still have in my room: laptop, table lamp shade, maduduming damit at malinis na damit na madalas na sinusuot ko pangaraw-araw.

Moving Saga Continues
Yesterday, I got off 30 mins early from my usual 6 pm work shift in my full-time job and went straight home to do more boxing of my stuffs. I packed up the LCD TV, my gaming console and some others. I packed up this, I packed up that, I packed up everything that needed some packing! Fucking shit! ... so i tried to fit everything in my tiny MR2. Thanks God I made it through and it fit very well on passenger seat! That was a quick 15 minute job because I still need to go to my part-time job in Target by 645pm. After few minutes, i drove to my other job... So what I have with me are expensive entertainment stuffs inside my car in a public parking lot! I got worried about the exposure of my things in public because my window is'nt tinted. Good thing, i brought trash bags with me, so i wrapped it with it... and there you go safer than ever!

After my 4 hour shift on my part time job, i drove straight to Whittier at my uncle's house. That was a 30 minute drive! (jesus). I was supposed to be off by 11 but I asked the store manager in my other job if I could leave early. And he said yes. So there you go, that was 10:30pm when i clocked off... Anyways, I asked my cuzin to please wait till i get there, because it's almost midnight and I know that they still have to wake up early for school. So I beg them. And because they're good boys, they waited for me. I unloaded my stuffs with in 5 mins and took off and 'got home by 11:45.

My Saga did'nt end there, I still have a lot of things to do like shredding some credit card bills and old bank statement. But my stupid sheredder acting crazy, so it took me until 3 AM to fix everything that i need to be done. I only have 1 day to move every single thing out of that house or I am screwed! After 15 minutes more, I got really very very tired, so i decided to sleep and continue the job the next day.

The Moving Unit
Hello everyone, kahit alam kong walang nagbabasa ng blog ko at apat na sulok lang ng window ang kausap ko, hello na din sa inyo. Well, this week has been a very rough and crazy week for me. Besides sa nag-away (nanaman) kami ng loving Thet ko, I am preparing and been boxing my stuffs kasi I am moving out from Orange to Whittier in my Uncle's house again. I was thinking since I am leaving soon which is a month and a half from today, then might as well save some money. Instead of spending the $450 on my rent, I'll just save it for my spendatures when I get home this coming October. Wais ba? im suuuure! hihihi.

Anyways, dahil kailngan na kailngan talaga ng pera, i have to sell my baby Toyota MR2. I have to make it look better and run good so i can sell it for $2500. Hopefully may bumili, kasi i spent a lot of time and money to make it look like new. I am not planning to spend the $2500 in the Philippines, but i need a security wwhen i get back here. Also, i am planning to buy my Cuz's MR2 like mine for only $500. Wais ulit di ba? cool.

Also, I am preparing all the legal requirements that we needed for our wedding. So kailngan masikaso ko lahat yun bago makauwe sa October. I need to finished everything fast para naman wala ng pressure bago ako umuwe.

Lastly, i want to move closer to Phiilippines.... HAWAII??? oh my god can I???
