Next To Impossible
I only have three more weeks to lose weight. I know I have been such a slacker for not monitoring my calorie intake that is why instead of reducing weight, I gained more pounds in 2 months! Oh my! Tell me, how am I gonna fit my wedding gown? While browsing the net for liposuction and other cosmetic surgery for losing weight (don't get me wrong. I'm not going under the knife at this time of th year.), I was introduced to the world of LAP BAND procedure. LAP BAND stands for Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding. The LAPBAND Adjustable Gastric Band is designed to help you lose excess body weight, improve weight-related health conditions and enhance quality of life. It reduces the stomach capacity and restricts the amount of food that can be consumed at one time. If I am going to be under this procedure, I have to make sure that I one who will lead the operation is a highly specialized lapband doctor.

How I wish I have more time to do some weight reducing routine. argggghh!

Leaving Again
I did not report for work yesterday. Though I really wanted to just sit at home and enjoy this holiday off, I just can't! James is currently on leave and I can't afford to let my team be left with nobody to look after to. Besides, it's already the end of the month and surely, there are lots of pending tasks to do.

Time for Repair
Aside from the fact that our garage can only occupy one tiny car (No van or SUV, just a Honda Civic and the likes), the floor already has some cracks that needs to be repaired. Russell's home, on the other hand, has a two car garage that is made of tiny pebbles. I think they are maintaining this less because of the durability of the floor. New concrete floors are best treated with a garage floor coating like epoxy which is easy to clean and lasts for years. Older cracked or stained floors are sometimes easier just covered with tile.As we talk about having a home of our own, we really had to decide from the wide selection of garage floors on which one we're going to have. I don't want to keep on treating the garage floor because it can be too time consuming and expensive too.

Favorite Line
I have mentioned in my previous post that Russ and I went to see a movie yesterday. For the longest time, I have enjoyed watching a Filipino Love story again. The plot of this story is really awesome. Every character was very important and the actors and actresses in this movie were really good. They are not just "wall decors. "

One of my favorite dialogue line in this movie is this: "She loved me at my worst. You had me at my best. You had to make a choice. But you chose to break my heart." AwwWwwwww!!! Somehow, this line pinch my heart and soul. It was indeed one of the greatest love stories ever told in the silver screen.

One Good Date
After a huge fight, Russ and I decided to go on a date. This is something we haven't done in a long time. Come to think of it, since Russ came we never really had the chance to go out and spend some time with each other. Yesterday while it's drizzling, we instantly decided to go out and see a movie. Too bad that Gerlie's car is still in the auto shop for some repair so the idea of going to SM Dasma has been scrapped off. We just then went to SM Bacoor and believe it or not, Russell and I commute! Wheeeww! That's something new :)

Are We Under Martial Law?
What the hell is going on right now? Why is there curfew being enforced in the entire Metro and the CALABARZON area. Is the Arroyo government too paranoid to do such alternative kind of action? Even the media people who covered the event were being arrested! What kind of non-sense is that? Can't you just please tell us MRS. Arroyo if we are under MARTIAL LAW?!?!!!

Another Busy Saturday
This Saturday, Russ and I had to go to DIvisoria again to give the measurements of the other entourage members that we have. I have already given Ate Lhen the sizes of our flower girls and I am just waiting for the measurement of one of our bridesmaids. On Sunday, Russ is going to have his tuxedo fitting. If measurements are all fine, then his tuxedo will be ready for pick up by first week of December. Tiheee!!!! Una pa ata sya sa akin huh!

Don't Let Stress Get in Your Way
Sometimes, it bothers me I would turn to Russell what ever stress that I am getting from work. Bebeh has been to my office for quite a lot of times and he has managed to deal with my team members quite amiably. I guess, it's already his nature. Russ is such a nice and sweet guy so nobody will take him for a jerk. As my QAS would call me 'mother', they would call him now "father.' LOL

Over and Over
Bebeh and I had an argument again this morning. Sometimes it gets too tiring but I just love the feeling of of him being malambing to me again. We're gonna watch One More Chance in SM Dasmarinas later this day and I am pretty excited about it! It's been ages since the last time we saw a movie together.

Done with the video
Russ just texted me that is already done doing the video footage that is needed for our love story AVP. He went to SM to buy some CDR so that he can transfer the video file into the computer. I think he already saw the save-the-date AVP made by our videographer, Playback Productions because I already see his signature and comment in it. I can't help but get excited on how our lovestory AVP wll turn out.

Novice Shot
I have always wanted to be a photographer. That is why the moment I had the money, I bought myself a a digital camera. As film cameras are beginning to be phased out, digital cameras are getting more and more popular nowadays. Russell is fond of photos too! I have told Russell that I will enroll him in a photography class next year.Between Rusell and I, Russ is the better photographer. The proof?

Nice isn't it?

I have owned before a 5 MP Sony Cyber shot with a lens that is rotating 180 degrees. Too bad that I lost it last year when I had the Christmas party with my team. In replacement, I bought a 5MP samsung digicam. The trouble though is that it doesn't come with rechargeable batteries. Having said that, I would always have to buy alkaline batteries, which unfortunately would only last for about 3 hours or so. Initially, Russell was quite hesitant when he bought his Olympus DSLR because he thought that I might get mad at him. I told him to get a Nikon camera, that's why. I am drooling and salivating over Nikon D80 but it's just too pricey. We have already canvassed quite a number of sellers in Ebay. Most of the Nikon products that re being sold there comes in package with all the paraphernalias that would enhance one's shooting talent. I still want to own such camera but I guess I had to work even harder so that I could come up with the moolah.

Somebody is Ignoring Me
When trouble arises, I don't have any other choice but to run to the person that is higher to me when we talk about hierarchy. But, how would you turn to somebody who doesn't know a thing? The worst of all, she keeps on ignoring the things I would brought up to her. I can only be a bit patient. I am praying so hard that God would give me patience so that I can still deal with her professionally.

Such Great Archodants
My favorite song from The Postal Service band is "Such great heights" has been remade by this group called Archodants. I don't really know who they are, but I absolutely like their version of this song. Acapella style!

This is it!
Last Saturday,my mom tagged Thet and I in Binondo to buy our wedding band. It's a good thing that me and bebeh have the same preference on rings. What we have bought is a simple wedding band. Simple but elegant so to speak.

It's nice isn't?

Videos and More
What the heck!

It's almost December but our wedding AVP hasn't been finalized yet. We are set to meet Bim of Playback on Monday and I'm crossing my fingers that he can finish our concept AVP just in time.
Week end is going to be a pretty busy day for us. I need to reserve my energy for that.
And oh, by the way, Monday- December 3 is my birthday too!

Practice Shooting
I have a dream. That dream is to become a (not really) professional photographer. But I have to practice to be able to accomplish my goal. So here are some sample pictures that I took earlier.

Thank you and goodnight :-)

Family, Graduates and Conflicts
November 17, Saturday

It was during Saturday when our house was invaded by the UY family. My mom has been bugging Thet for their family to pay a visit in our house, since they'd been in Thet's house a couple of times already. She thinks that it's about time for them to try to see our humble home and let us cook the dishes for them.

From bottom to top, right to left: Dad Ramir, Me, Kenneth, Mama Luvie,

Gerlie, Thet, Mama Cory, Ate Grace, Baby Akane, Papa Fred and Ton-ton.

November 18, Sunday

This the last Sunday Pre-Cana Seminar that we have to attend as a part of completing the church requirements. We didn't have any idea that it was also the Fiesta day (Feast Day of Our Lady of Remedies)in Malate. So when we got there, the parking lot was full. Good thing that the parking attendant guided us to park into small spot in front of the church.

When we got in the seminar room, we were told that they moved the seminar on the second floor which is the AVP room. To our surprise, there are only 2 couples (including us) attended the seminar. But they continued the seminar and the topics where quite interesting like how to create a baby boy or a baby girl! WHeeEEwWw!!! After 2 hours or so of intimate discussions, we finally graduated!

November 19, Monday

I couldn't understand why simple things would always end up into a huge arguments. I may sometimes be too naive to feel the sensitivity of her emotions, but I know deep in my heart that I care about every single thing that she's telling me. I always listen to her but I sometimes forget make her feel how important she is in my life. She claims that I am an unsupportive boyfriend, but really, I am not. There are times that it's freakingly difficult to make her realizethe caring and the loving feeling that I have for her especially when Im thousand miles apart from her.
Regarding that old issue--- I am very sorry. I am really not like that. I am willing to do whatever I can just to protect her from anybody who would try hurting her. If crossing the world isn't enough , I'll take my own life just to prove to her how much I love her. I need her so much. I love her like crazy.

The Chop-chop Blog

It’s been a while so I am going to tell you guys about some important and exciting things that just happened to me and to my fiancé in the past few days ago. I call this Blog as "chop-chop blog".

November 7, Wednesday

It was 830 am when Thet and I went to our appointment with our Wedding Priest to do our interview. I was a little bit late because I don't have a car that I could use because my sister needed to use her car for school, so I decided to take the bus instead. Anyway, I don't really like interviews, why? It’s because it makes me freak out, nervous and a possibility to past out. If I could only avoid job interviews, I would! But I can't to do that! Well, the interview went well so far. I felt comfortable with our speaking Tagalog Irish priest! Yeah he’s cool all right. We’re like close buddies. The interview lasted for about 15 minutes and we took off to Thet’s house. Unfortunately, nobody’s home and the doors were locked. Sadly, the freaking rain start pouring from the sky. The only thing that protected our upper body was our little yellow umbrella (thanks to that, at least)… What can we do? Nothing, so we decided to just go to Holy Cross to file her Wedding Banns. Then we started to walk away from her house and look for a tricycle. My shoes were all wet and we’re freaking walking on the rain with a little cover on our head. That was awesome… a totally awesome day ever. After we filed the wedding bans, we took the MRT to go home to Cavite.

November 8, Thursday

The alarm started to ring our ears to bring us into life again. Rise and shine! It’s already 9:30 in the morning! It’s time to do whatever we need to do! On this day, we needed to accomplish these: my wedding banns, go to Binondo, Manila to see the publisher of our wedding invitation, go to Thet’s house, go back to Cavite, go to SM to buy the stuffs that we needed for tomorrow’s pre-nup pictorial, we need to check out the Picnic Grove in Tagaytay and pick up our uniforms in Kawit. In the end of these plans, we accomplished everything except the plan of going to Binondo. But above of everything, we are very happy to see the finished product of our cute Japanese School uniforms J.

November 9, Friday

This is the day or shall I call this “D-Day”? Of course, pictorial day has come! We woke up 5 am in the morning. But we should have woke up early than that! It’s embarrassing that we made our make-up artist, videographer and photographer waited for us! It’s a shame but surely we apologized for the traffic that we’ve been through… We arrived in Tagaytay by 10:30 am, cloudy--- and we knew that the rain would start falling soon. So we started the photo shoot and video quickly. The second round started after the rain stopped and also after we had our lunch in RSM Restaurant. The day was pretty exhausting but we’re very happy with the result of our session. Thanks to our very patient vendors! This one of my favorite shot:

Hello, Hello

Hey there! It’s my 4th week here in the Philippines! So far things are good except from the fact that I was sick for a week because of maybe a sudden change of weather. Well it’s been raining here for quite sometime now especially during night time and yet during day time, the humid and hot weather just really suck! Maybe that’s also the reason why I got sick. I still have cough, but I’m feeling a little bit better now.

Good Morning with my Bebeh on my side

I started my week with a surprise with Thet. She didn't have any idea that I will be in the Philippines on the 12th of October. I told her that I'll be here on the 15th but I tricked her and surprised her when I went to her work place in Ortigas. It was 11:30 pm when I got there. My jet lag is killing me during that time but it didn't stop from doing my plan. In return, Thet gave a punch on my tum lol. I can tell that she hates surprises! Hehehehe... And finally, I met her crazy gay team. They are really fun to be with! Thanks guys for being there for my Thet!

The wedding preps are doing well. In fact, as soon as I arrive here, Thet and I has been very busy on doing our wedding papers for the church and the dresses that our entourage needed, of course. We went to Manila for our official grooms men's suit maker, Gardini. With us, is my best friend Von, who’s going to be my best man. And finally, the tailor took my measurements for my wedding tuxedo. We’ve scheduled the fitting for the rest of my groom’s men on 4th of November. It was supposed to be done on weekdays, but since majority of them can’t make it because of their work, we decided to put the schedule on Sunday since the shop is open 7 days a week.

One of dramatic thing that just happened to me is when my Father-in-law to be found out that I was married before. Thanks to Thet for leaving the all of my paper works on their sofa--- exposed to people like her father. It’s not supposed to happen that way. Thet knows about it and we're actually planning to tell them about my status in the US. But it didn’t happen as we‘ve planned to be. And I am also not so ready about it. Papa confronted me and asked me “what’s up with those papers?” I knew that he’s angry when he asked me because he ain't smiling. Good Lord, I explained things well and he understood. He told me that I have to be honest to him next time and make even surer that I don’t have kids on my first marriage. Hehehe.

Maybe that was rough, but surely the following week is even rougher than her Father’s interrogations. We went to the jungle of Divisoria to look for the shop of Thet’s bride’s maid and her wedding gown as well. They moved their shop to another mall. Thanks to their helper who came to help us to find the way to their new place. We also went to 168 mall for bride’s maid shoes. It was a super adventure for me. Just imagine the sweat, the odor, the mud and the heat of the sun on the street of Divi? That was wack! But at least I am now aware of things that my wifey doing when I’m not here. It was a super difficult and I can’t blame her about the stress.

Well aside from these things, I also visited my Lola Ponying and my Aunts in Rosario, Cavite. We had a little lunch in her house. I also met Thet's little niece Akane. She's very and cute although she's a crybaby when she first met me. Well that's how babies are when they see a stranger, right? But she's a cute little one!

Anyway, we visited my Lola Penie's grave yard during the All Saints Day. Everybody's there, my aunts and cousins but some of them seems to have issues with my mom, so they don't really talk to each other. Ahhhh... I hate family feuds!

That’s all for now. I’ll post more maybe next week. Bye!
