Generations of Mustang
I was watching an old James Bond film (perhaps, it was a 70’s film) in one of the cable TV stations and I can’t help but wonder who is the maker of this great automobile. Apparently, it is from Ford and it comes with five generations. As I became curious about its history, I browsed this site: http://www.americanmuscle.com/browsebyyear.html. The first generation was the model that has been manufactured sometime 1964-1973. The prototype was a two-seat, mid-engine roadster. Personally, this is the Mustang model that I like the most. It was later remodeled into a four-seat car. Then came the second generation mustang (1974-1978.) The Mustang II featured innovations such as rack-and-pinion steering and a separate engine sub-frame that greatly decreased noise, vibration, and harshness. In 1979 (third generation) the Mustang's interior was re-styled to comfortably accommodate four people, despite a smaller rear seat. But Mustang only had its Mustang underwent its first major redesign in 15 years in 1994 (fourth generation). I know that the present generation of Mustang is set to come out another innovation. The 2010 Mustang, due to be launched early in 2009, has been designed to look smaller than its predecessor even though the actual dimensions are essentially unchanged.
